Community Gatherings

Welcome! We would like to invite you to the 2017 CLS Community gatherings! Students have the opportunity to engage with CLS Faculty, staff, other students and learn about how to get involved with CLS! Hope to see you on Wednesday from 12:00-1:30pm in 336 Ingraham Hall!

Community Gatherings are weekly workshop luncheons for Chican@ & Latin@ Studies students that are held in 336 Ingraham Hall.  Students have the opportunity to engage in lively discussions about academic life, learn about resources available to them on the UW-Madison campus, and build a strong sense of community.  Each week, representatives of a department or resource unit on campus give short presentations and hold Q&A sessions for students.  For further information, contact Rachelle Eilers, CLS Certificate Advisor.

Digame will start up again Fall 2016 duringthe CLS Community Gatherings from 12:00PM-1:30PM in room 307 Ingraham Hall. It will continue every other Thursday during the end of the semester.

Digame is a program that provides drop-in consultations for UW-Madison CLS students. It’s free. Speaking with counselor, Dr. Jeff Hird, can help provide insight, solutions, and information about other resources. Dr. Jeff Hird is a senior staff member at UW-Madison's Counseling and Consultation Services (C&CS). See CLS Advisor, Rachelle, to sign-up for a time.
