Chican@ & Latin@ Studies Community Gathering: Stephanie Rivera-Berruz & Mariana Ortega
November 10 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
At today’s Gathering, guests Stephanie Rivera-Berruz (Marquette University) and Mariana Ortega (Penn State) will discuss the importance of feminism in Latinx Studies. Professors Rivera-Berruz and Ortega will speak at 4:00 this afternoon in Ingraham 206 in a panel titled “Latinx Feminisms Then and Now,” part of the Chican@ & Latin@ Studies Today speaker series.
At the Gatherings, representatives of a department or resource unit on campus will give short presentations and hold Q&A sessions for students. The event is also an opportunity to network and catch up with friends. You can expect to have lively discussions about academic life, to learn about resources available on the UW-Madison campus, and to build a strong sense of community.
