CLS Community Gathering: Sugar Skull Decorating for Dia de los Muertos
October 31, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
At this week’s CLS Community Gathering, Prof. Carolina Sarmiento will talk about the history of Día de los Muertos. At these workshop luncheons, students can meet CLS faculty, staff, other students and learn about how to get involved with the program. We hope to see you Thursdays from 12:00-1:30pm in 336 Ingraham Hall from October 3rd through December 5th, with the exception of November 28th. Each week, representatives of a department or resource unit on campus give short presentations and hold Q&A sessions for students. Besides the great food, you can expect to have lively discussions about academic life, to learn about resources available on the UW-Madison campus, and to build a strong sense of community. For further information, contact Rachelle Eilers, CLS Certificate Advisor.
Dígame continues during the CLS Community Gatherings from 12:00PM-1:30PM every Thursday during the semester. This program provides drop-in consultations for UW-Madison CLS students. It’s free! Speaking with counselors Dr. Jeff Hird and Mary Eldridge, can help provide insight, solutions, and information about resources. Both are staff members at University Health Services. See CLS Advisor Rachelle Eilers, to sign-up for a time.
