FreeLOUD (Latinos Organizing for Understanding & Development) will hold the first Wisconsin Conference on Latinx Art & Culture, highlighting artists who have lived in or had significant experience in Wisconsin on October 15th from 8:15 am to 1:00 pm. The virtual conference includes a keynote by muralist and poet Zarco Guerrero followed by 5 short, engaging sessions with a closing keynote by and Carmen de Novais Guerrero and open networking time afterwards. You have access to all sessions with your ticket. There will be live Q&A so bring your questions!
When we are in sessions with artists you will be able to choose between two tracks of artists. Find what is most interesting to you! More information is available on the conference Website. LOUD is an off-campus organization led by former Madison poet laureate Oscar Mireles. The Chican@ & Latin@ Studies Program is proud to be a co-sponsor of the event.
