Alyssa M. Ramírez Stege, Ph.D. (she/her/ella), is a queer Latina, U.S.-born and Mexican-raised Clinical Assistant Professor in Counseling Psychology. She grew up in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico where she received her bachelor’s degree (Licenciatura) in Psychology from the Universidad de las Américas Puebla. She received her master’s and doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and completed her doctoral internship at Pacific Psychology & Comprehensive Health Clinics in Portland and Hillsboro, Oregon. Before moving back to UW-Madison, Dr. Ramírez Stege was an Assistant Professor in the Division of Social, Behavioral and Human Sciences at the University of Washington Tacoma.
