The Chican@ & Latin@ Studies Program seeks two teaching assistants for the Fall 2024 CHICLA 201 (“Introduction to Chican@ & Latin@ Studies”).

The position is 50% (20 hours per week). Successful candidates will attend lectures MW 9:55-10:45 and facilitate 4 discussion sections each (Th 1:20pm, 2:25pm, 3:30pm, & 4:35pm or F 9:55am, 11:00am, 1:20pm, & 2:25pm). Duties include facilitating four discussion sections per week, holding office hours, grading assignments, assisting with the preparation of exams, and other tasks as assigned by the lead instructor. Position includes salary, tuition remission, and eligibility for health insurance and other employee benefits. Preference for second-year (or higher) UW-Madison graduate students in good standing with background in Chican@ & Latin@ Studies or related field (Anthropology, Sociology, Literature, History, Cultural Studies, Theatre, Law, Social Work, Counseling Psychology). First-year graduate students will be considered. Undergraduate teaching experience preferred.
