CLS core faculty member Revel Sims received word this Fall that he was promoted to Associate Professor. Prof. Sims began teaching for the CLS Program in 2016. His research on how the structures of urban property and housing markets shape and constrain urban planning and policy—particularly in their impacts on lower-income communities and communities of color—has gained national recognition. A popular instructor, Prof. Sims regularly creates opportunities for students to engage in applied research and community-based learning on urban issues right here in Madison. Congratulations to Prof. Sims for this achievement! Congratulations are also due to CLS affiliate faculty members Diego Román (Curriculum and Instruction) and Jorell Meléndez-Badillo, who were also promoted to Associate Professor recently.
