Prof. Rubén Medina was invited to the Festival “Poesía en Abril,” sponsored by DePaul University, the Instituto Cervantes, and Casa Michoacán in Chicago, from April 23 to 26. He was also invited to the Feria del Libro de Chicago, at the University of Chicago, from May 7-9. Finally, he curated the Exhibit “Infrarealism: the Permanent Insurrection,” to be held at Casa América, Barcelona, on June 2, 2026. He also edited the exhibit catalog, which included 16 articles. The exhibit chronicles the development of infrarealism, an avant-garde literary movement that emerged in Mexico City in 1975. Prof. Medina was among the original 20 poets credited with creating the movement.
