Mary Louise Gómez is Professor of Literacy Studies & Teacher Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. She teaches courses to aspiring teachers concerning varying aspects of diversity—such as race, ethnicity, social class, gender identity/sexual orientation, language background, and gender. She teaches graduate courses focusing on life history and narrative inquiry as ways to understand peoples’ experiences. Her research explores the lives of teachers from marginalized groups, classroom dynamics, the use of technology in the classroom and more.
