CLS Seeks Lecturers for Fall 2023

The CLS Program seeks a lecturer (MA required, Ph.D. preferred) to teach CHICLA 328 or 330, intermediate-level Topics classes offering examination of specific themes in Chicana/o life, ways and culture for Fall 2023 (08/21/2023-01/03/2024).  To apply, see the listing on the UW-Madison job site.

CHICLA 328 is humanities focused and CHICLA 330 on social sciences. Class size will be up to 30 students. Topics may include Latinx communities in the Midwest, border culture and literature, Latinx ethnicity and identity, Mexican immigration to the United States, Afro-Latinx communities, gender and sexuality, popular culture, and others. The courses will count for core requirements in the Chicana/o and Latina/o Studies Certificate. Other intermediate and advanced courses in the Program’s course list may be offered depending on the expertise of the instructor. We would particularly welcome candidates able to teach on Latinx communities in the Midwestern USA.
