On May 11th, the CLS community gathered at the Genetics/Biotech Center Auditorium to celebrate the second-largest graduating class in the Program’s history. Thirty-three students received the Chican@ & Latin@ Studies Certificate in the 2018-2019 year, down from a high of 40 in 2017-2018. Professor Emerita Andrea-Teresa “Tess” Arenas (pictures at left) gave a rousing address to a packed house of students, parents, relatives, faculty and staff. The Program also recognized Prof. Arenas and her husband, former Chancellor John Wiley, for their support of the CLS Program at the ceremony. CLS Program is proud of its students and alumni. ¡Felicidades a todxs and stay in touch!
