Every May, the College of Letters and Science publishes inspiring stories about research and other achievements by its faculty and students in a supplement to the Wisconsin State Journal called “Fueling Discovery.” This year’s issue highlighted the work of CLS Director Theresa Delgadillo and Program faculty member Alfonso Morales. The feature on Prof. Delgadillo included summaries of her books Geographies of Relation and Building Sustainable Worlds: Latinx Placemaking in the Midwest, as well as an account of her recent field trip to art exhibits [link] in Chicago with CLS students. The feature on Prof. Morales highlighted applied work he has done over the years on farmer’s markets in Wisconsin, most recently in collaboration with CLS Program faculty member Edna Ely-Ledesma. A final article highlighted undergraduate research in psychology by CLS certificate student Meredith Serrano, a McNair Scholar.
