On May 13, 2023 in Ingraham B10, the Chican@ & Latin@ Studies Program recognized eighty one students from a variety of majors who are graduating with our Program’s Certificate, another record-breaking class. Assistant Dean Emerita Andrea-Teresa “Tess” Arenas gave a moving address recognizing our graduates’ hard work and the thanking those who struggled for so many years to create the CLS Program. The ceremony also acknowledged award recipients, along with Co-Salutatorians Angela Maloney, Gabriela Mjaanes, Sara Mulrooney, and Kathryn Saavedra-Ballesteros, and Co-Valedictorians Claire Darmstadter and Daryana Blanco. At the end of the Spring semester, over two hundred students were enrolled in the Certificate, and the Program is gearing up to offer a new major in the Fall. Congratulations to the class of 2023!
